About

Gina Thayer writes speculative, slippery, and strange fiction, and is currently working on a collection of short stories and flash. She holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. After several years in the Pacific Northwest, Gina now lives in Minneapolis with her partner and cat.

Gina is a fiction reader for The Maine Review, and was recently featured in Book Riot’s “Halloween Short Fiction: 9 Short Stories to Get You Ready for Spooky Season.”

Along with fiction, Gina holds expertise in grant writing for the arts and sciences. She loves all things horror, and when not writing, she can often be found playing soccer, searching for local food and drink, or playing the saxophone.
